Art installation with plastic bottles
This installation was designed for the second edition of “Rafiocyclé”. The material has been changed and the plastic replaces the natural elements. Although Alejandro Guzzetti‘s practices are not accustomed to this approach, it is, however, not very far, in real terms, from its commitment.
The environmental issue is important to him; his work into nature’s open spaces has led him to face the problems related to the ecological matter, especially plastic pollution. How to raise public awareness? What concrete action could be set up? The idea was to transform the material, to give a new life to the waste object. Five thousand bottles have been recovered to build this igloo. The 5,000 plastic bottles thus becomes a haven of peace protecting its guests from the sun, committing them to reflection.
